This project follows the series of events by the MoMA film department to celebrate international movie directors, for which I've historically created a series of hand-lettered paperbands. This particular project is a special project amongst special projects, as I worked with a brush to bring the feeling of traditional Chinese calligraphy to the director's long oeuvre.
