Colonia Nova is a place in Neukölln, the Berlin district that literally translated also means New Colony. Their building hosts several studios for creative people, along with a huge open space and a terrace for organized events and parties. Fares and Micha asked me to develop a logo, some business cards, and a website. I thought right away about a flag, the ultimate symbol for colonizing a territory (or the moon) and the current iconic shorthand for a destination. I combined handwritten typography with the flag, and carried the imagery and spirit over to the new website, which had to be slick and clean, easy to navigate and easy to update with all the new events.
